Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of lactation consultancy services by Lucy McMillan at Infant Feeding[dot]London (“I”, “me”, or “my”) to clients (“you”). By booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

2. Services Provided

I provide in-person infant feeding and breastfeeding support through home visits in South London, UK. As per the Services page, this includes assessment, advice, and follow-up support relating to infant feeding practices.

3. Booking and Payment

Appointments must be booked in advance.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment.

Payments can be made via bank transfer or SquareSpace.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel up to 48 hours before your scheduled appointment for a full refund.

Cancellations made within 48 hours are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances at my discretion.

If I must cancel, you will be offered a full refund or rescheduled appointment.

5. Follow-Up Support

After your appointment, you will receive follow-up support (via email, phone, or message) for up to two weeks, to clarify any advice or check progress. This support does not include additional home visits unless agreed separately.

6. Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, honest information about your and your baby’s health.

You must ensure a safe and suitable environment for the home visit.

You remain responsible for any decisions made based on the advice given.

7. Confidentiality and Data Protection

Your personal information will be handled in line with GDPR. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

All records are stored securely and will not be shared without your consent unless legally required.

8. Scope of Practice and Limitation of Liability

I am an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), and my advice is based on current evidence and professional standards.

I do not diagnose medical conditions; you should always consult a GP or healthcare provider if concerned about your or your baby’s health.

I accept no liability for outcomes resulting from decisions made after the consultation.

9. Complaints
